Welcome to my blog, one and all.
The Creative Cactus is a blog about storytelling. Stories are the oldest form of entertainment (barring you-know-what). Stories have been around forever (see fairy tales, and for older reference cave-people coal drawings on walls). Nowadays, storytelling remains a very central form of entertainment, we just have more varied forms and means in which to tell our stories, such as books, films and series, role-playing games (such as Dungeons and Dragons) and (most) video games, to name some.
In this blog, you will mostly see short stories of Fiction, and maybe some snippets of larger projects which belong in the Fantasy genre. I have a special place in my heart for castles, swords, knights in shining armor, mages with long beards and messed up people trying to save the world… which is why I fell in love with Dungeons and Dragons! So you might also see something relevant to D&D on here at some point.
I sometimes cook, too, but I’m not very good at it. So most recipes on here will be (hopefully) humorous.
